How the Michigan State House Won in 2018
We created advertisements that were unique to the candidate with messages that both met the overarching polling while also including specific, local impacts that key issues had on the districts.
In 2018, Foundation Blue completed the hard side television for the Michigan Democratic State House Caucus. We personally interviewed every candidate, helping develop their personal stories. We then created advertisements that were unique to the candidate with messages that both met the overarching polling while also including local impacts that critical issues had on the districts.
We did a group state legislative film shoot to help reduce costs and increase the money available to put the videos in front of the voters.
Michigan flipped six seats and ultimately gained five seats in the State House. These were the first net gains for the Michigan State House since 2008.
